We are an independent product studio building human tools in the age of AI.

For as long as we’ve been married, we’ve wanted to work together. IT’S US STUDIO is our way of building a shared playground for our mix of personalities and passions.

We care about making things that feel good to use. Meaningful, thoughtful products meant to bring a bit of joy to people’s day. That focus comes from years of working closely with people.

Before leading design, Mackenzie taught music to young children. Before leading engineering (and his time at Shopify), Emmanuel worked in community-based nonprofits.

That background shapes how we run the studio:

1. We are ruthless about keeping our products simple and easy to use; even if it means losing certain customers
2. We grow with customer trust and support instead of investor money
3. We grow at a pace that lets us support both our customers and ourselves (there is no pressure to chase 10x growth)
4. We keep customer interactions human (no AI for support or sales)
5. We are not interested in making money in ways that make people worse off
6. We don’t rely on lock-in, dark patterns, or tricks to keep customers around
7. We are in this for the long haul and do not plan on ever selling our products
