How we manage our busy week as a team of two

Written by Mackenzie

As a small but mighty team of two, our task list seems to grow every day across many hats - from building/fixing the software, to sales, customer support, marketing, and on and on.

But here’s how we’re keeping our head above water to make sure we’re working on the highest priority task without losing deep focus. We’re borrowing from one of our indie-maker heroes Jon Yongfook at Banner Bear by alternating between 2 types of work weeks:

We just wrapped up a grow week and despite losing most of the week to sickness, I’m proud of what we accomplished.

  1. We chatted with 5 local shops and learnt that a Shopify integration is very important to many of them
  2. We started sharing our journey online (mega scary)

Honestly super pumped for what’s to come. In everything we are trying we are remembering: you have to be willing to be bad at something in order to get good at it!

In case you’re wondering why a software product is so intent on doing in-person sales, we’ll get to that in another post.

This week is build week and we’ve got a few major things on our plate:

→ Update marketing site for Workbench and figure out SEO (☠️)

→ Launch Workbench Blog

→ New feature launch: customizable intake forms (woop woop)

Will be back at the end of the week with hopefully lots of updates!
