We now have businesses across 3 provinces using our software!

As of last week, we have businesses across 3 provinces in Canada using Workbench every day. It has been an exciting journey going from users only in BC to now supporting businesses more broadly across Canada.
We’re two introverts who are learning how to do sales and product growth effectively. To get over our fears, we’ve challenged ourselves to do at least one sales activity every single day. It helps knowing that we have a fixed runway and need to grow our user base.
It has also helped to embrace who we are. We may not be “sales” people, but we genuinely love building relationships and try our best to stay curious about everyone we meet.
This approach feels much more real and authentic to who we are and to our heart for helping others. We also believe we’ve built something that really does make the lives of watch and jewellery business owners easier.
How does this help us during those nervous in-person sales visits?
- We straight up tell the people we meet, “Please don’t mind us, we’re not great at sales, but we do have a great product to tell you about.” Surprisingly, this helps warm people up to us.
- Knowing that we’re not wasting people’s time, but instead sharing a product that really could make their workdays easier, makes us feel less like we’re interrupting them.
Expanding our user base has also come with even more feedback and suggestions for the software. We need user feedback to make sure we are building in the right direction.
We’ve discovered so many interesting use cases and requirements from this new set of customers, especially those in Quebec where there is a language requirement.
We’re looking forward to bringing in more users and learning from even more feedback.
